How To Network and Promote?

With every “upgrade” Facebook is rendering itself useless to me.

It used to be that if someone at an event signed up to receive updates, I could find them on FB and provide that service.

There also used to be more effective middle grounds between total exposure, restricting some access to certain things (such as kink or horror art that friends and fans might like, but inappropriate amongst elder or younger family members,) and outright blocking people (mad stalkers and the like.) I don’t need all-or-nothing. I need nuance. Yes, FB still has some privacy controls. They’ve gone from barely passable to abominable, and the “Like” Pages offer no way to block a person.

If I am mistaken regarding any aspect of FB’s possible functions, please illuminate me! If not, please cue me in to whatever other networking site meets the following criteria.

Horror, Kink, Art and the Philosophy of Stygian Darkness

As in a mad doctor’s grisly experiment, there’s a common thread stitching us to our most beloved monsters. 

Vampires, zombies, werewolves, The Borg, The Thing, body snatchers, Hellraiser‘s Cenobites, and devils with a penchant for possession all speak to us and through us. They resonate with our psyche—but why?

Fascination for flesh manifests as freakish fetish when filtered through fear.  The reverse is likewise true, as fear becomes fetish when filtered through fascination for flesh. Yet even these scarcely scratch the surface of our skins. There are further facets of darkest fantasy.

Artwork charts the anatomy outside and in, permitting us to delve deep, with little risk of much permanent damage.

Still, some warn of scars to the very soul. Few dare trace the hidden contours.
Only the bold shall explore.

Silly Krampus – Spanking is for Adults!

I first learned of The Krampus by a Venture Brothers Christmas Special. I was so intrigued and tickled that I had to do a little research.

While Saint Nicholas goes about giving gifts to good little boys and girls, the Krampus travels with him, beating the bad little ones with switches, and carrying them off for further punishments! 

However irksome the worst of the wee ones may be, this old Nick can only condone the caning of consenting adults, as depicted here.

Though I’m not into whitewashing the horrific treatment of America’s native population, I can appreciate feasting, and giving thanks.
My mixed feelings regarding the day are mirrored in the art titled “Spanks Giving.” Giving spankings to the thankful masochist is one of my favorite activities, but doesn’t this pilgrim look downright evil about it?

At the start of the Cold War, it is believed that the mad Doctor had perished in the fall of the Reich. In fact, he has offered his extraordinary services to another world power, so he may take advantage of their resources. From parts of fresh corpses he builds super soldiers, spies, and courtesans, brainwashed and programmed to accept their servitude. Further, they are directed to facilitate the assimilation all of humanity.

The Legacy of Frankenstein: Day 2 – Recapture

      While kink with consent can be ecstatic, it is torture for the unwilling participant.
      What of the will of this resurrected collection of corpses, the Clockwork Concubine pictured below?
      The brain transplanted into the stolen skull was that of an adult, but how many memories survived the death of the unwitting donor? What capacity for reason survived the lightning that brought life to the recipient?
