Tragical History Tour

Night TerrorToday, the 38th annual Sacramento Old City Association Home Tour will feature homes ranging from the opulent Governor’s Mansion to the high-water Victorian bungalow where the notorious Dorothea Puente drugged and murdered several of her tenants in the 1980s.

Tour goers will preview the third-floor restoration of the state park mansion which was the official residence of 13 California governors and their families. Another of the tour homes will be the Queen Anne/Eastlake style home that Housewright Roger Lathe and his wife, Dr. Louise Mehler meticulously restored during a span of more than 30 years.

There will also be a free street fair at the northwest corner of 16th and H streets, where local musicians will perform and Master Nick will bring out art of the beautiful and bizarre, including prints, pendants and fiction!

10:AM Sunday, 15 September 2013

The tour costs $30 on the day of the event, or $25 in advance via Brown Paper Tickets.
