Succubus Art Conclusion: Sneak Preview

Katra’s portrait is complete!

Among various other finishing touches, I’ve added highlights and shadows to the horns, as well as to the wings and their skeletal framework.

On that note, let us have a frank discussion of succubus anatomy. (Those who believe that anatomical explorations are a dirty business are excused.)

Master_Nick-Katra-censoredThe framework within a succubus wing is not comprised of bones precisely, but is rather a thin ribbon of spiraling cartilage that can expand or contract, telescoping like a Chinese yo-yo. The skin between them can likewise shrivel or stretch. The wings may vanish entirely into twin slits in the back, (masking one’s identity as a night-flier,) or may spread to carry the weight of a full grown human.

The horns also grow and shrink, ranging from the size of a nipple, (concealable beneath the fringe,) to the length and girth of the mightiest masculine part.

The references to what smaller minds regard as the “naughty bits” is no mere analogy. The wings and horns of succubi have the sensitivity of erogenous zones. Thus, if you take a succubus by the horns, you’d better have received her blessing, and best be prepared to finish what you start.

On that note, I must mention that the model Raven LaRoux was most patient posing for me, and fairly patient awaiting the finished work. She has my thanks and my love!

The official unveiling will come in a week and a day, at the Zombie Club’s Pirate Booty Party at Shenanigans in Sacramento.
