Eating souls and babies

Master_Nick-ready2013fBlitzAfter a long day of creative work, I’m taking a break from a series of posts involving my fiction, poetry, and performance in a burlesque act featuring Angel Kitty as the Naughty Nurse of an insane asylum. ‘Tis time now to step out and feast upon lost souls and human babies. A frenzied feeding always helps my horns grow long and hard and extra sharp.

In sooth, I’m much more likely to fill up on pasta than to suck down ghostly spirits or resort to cannibalism.

Should I admit to such a commonplace appetite?

Certainly many creative folk subscribe to a policy of never explaining, and letting their work stand on its own. One fellow multimedia artist recommends hiding one’s private life in favor of nurturing a legend that’s larger than life. I’m going to break such advice tonight, to show you something of the man behind the curtain.

I don’t eat souls, because I enjoy more substantial fare. I don’t eat babies, as I really do prefer spinach tortellini in alfredo sauce. (Now that I’ve revealed that, you’ll have a better idea of which restaurant we should visit in case you’d ever like to buy me a meal.)

Master_Nick-Leer-DiscordI’ve another shocking revelation! Despite the mephistophelean facial fur, I am not the devil, though I do play him in the upcoming film Discord and Devilry. I don’t worship Satan, because he’s an imaginary, fictional character. (Though as we’re all grown ups here, I really don’t need to explain such things. Right? Right?)

A writer and performer strives to inspire a suspension of disbelief, but once you put the book down or the lights come up, it’s time to employ some critical thinking, and distinguish between fantasy and reality.

That said, I must sign off so I may wash down my pasta with the blood of virgins, while you must determine whether or not that sounds at all plausible.

Soon I shall return to share more lyrics and stills from the aforementioned burlesque act, and we shall delve deeper into the mind of a monster.

In the meantime, do peruse my first book of twisted fiction, “Gonzombie and Other Dark Tales” (edited by acclaimed author of vampire erotica, Suz deMello!)
