How to Render The Veil – Part 1

Since expanding my Crimson Kink painting series to include depictions of a Sadistic Sideshow and other twisted attractions, I’ve received a commission to explore more of the carnival.

My client has a grand, disturbing vision and wants it captured in paint. The whole strange scene shall become come clear over the following weeks and months, but a first, here’s a glimpse of the lithe young lady who played the central figure.

In creating most of my paintings, I have a model pose for a photo set. These pics were employed purely for my own reference before I finally realized that the shots themselves were also art.

In the spirit of that revelation, I present to you the quarry of a fox hunt, now captured and wrapped in ribbon –– a merely decorative veil that frames more than it conceals.
